Curious · Relational · Direct

Every relationship in your life follows a pattern. Let's look at yours.

With yourself. With a parent, a partner, a sibling, a boss, with God.For all the people who want to relate differently, I meet you where you are, and we work towards where you want to be.

WHY "INAT"

Long before you chose anyone, you learned something about relationships.

How much to ask for. When to go quiet. What happens when you say no.

You learned it from the people around you, from what was said and what wasn't, from what brought you closer and what made you pull away. Over time, it became a template. And you carried it with you, into a partnership, a family, a workplace, and most of all, your relationship with yourself.

It can look different in each of us.

You might be the one who swallows it and says, "It's fine."
The one who fights first, so nobody sees the hurt.
The capable one everyone leans on.
The one who needs to be needed.
The one who leaves before you can be left.

Whatever armour you built, you built it for a reason. So, bring it with you into the session. We can get curious about what it protects, what it costs you, and whether you still need it.

Therapy is a relationship too. That is the point.

Here, you get to notice what happens between you and another person in real time. You can say something difficult. You can disagree. You can ask for more. You can change your mind. And you can discover that being known does not necessarily mean being rejected.

Over time, you get to practise a different template: one where you can be honest without disappearing, have needs without apologising for them, and remain connected without abandoning yourself.

Inat means stubborn defiance - the part of you that refuses to settle for the old pattern.

We point it at every limit the world handed you, and every one you have since handed yourself.

I hold the mirror and I don't look away.

Where do we meet?

Online, by video, from anywhere you can close a door. In English or Hindi.

Who will know?

No one. What you say stays between us, and I'll explain the few legal exceptions in our first session.

Is this based on anything?

Yes. The methods I use have research behind them. Which ones I reach for depends on you.

Is it too early, or too late?

Neither. Newly hurt, years into it, or only now finding the words: we start from where you are.

Meet Anahita

I think almost everything comes back to relationships

I believe that as a clinician and as a person.

Everything that exists holds together through connection. Atoms bond, cells signal one another, and entire forests are sustained by fungal networks linking root to root beneath the soil. We are no different. So when someone tells me about their anxiety, their anger or their numbness, I listen to what is happening within them and what is happening around them.

I'm Anahita Tanwar, an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist.
